Representative Matters and Results
- A prominent professor at a major university who was retaliated against for engaging in protected speech and exercising his First Amendment rights in response to a position posting that expressed racial and other preferences. Prior to initiating any litigation, K & S represented the professor and confidentially resolved the matter.
- A female college student sexually assaulted on campus. K & S initiated a Title IX proceeding against her perpetrator at her university. After discovery, the matter was successfully resolved with the perpetrator permanently withdrawing from the university.
- A female college student who had been subjected to a non-consensual sexual encounter. K & S represented her throughout an extensive Title IX investigation until the matter was favorably resolved.
- A university faculty member accused per Title IX of egregiously sexually harassing a participant at a school event. K & S prevailed after a contentious, two-day hearing and the complaint was dismissed.
- A university faculty member who was a witness in an internal investigation involving a number of Jewish students who had filed a complaint alleging a hostile anti-Semitic academic environment.
